The Mercure Centre Notre Dame is a contemporary hotel dating from 1980 and located in the centre of the historic French city of Nice, across the street from the Notre Dame Cathedral. The 201 guestrooms over six floors feature neutral decor, patterned fabrics and simple furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, wireless Internet (surcharge), direct dial phones with voicemail, clock radios, coffee/tea makers, and minibars. Bathroom with showers, telephones, bidets and makeup mirrors.
The hotel's rooftop terrace features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a bar serving cocktails, and affords panoramic views across Nice. A range of beauty and massage treatments are available on site, and guests can also unwind in the hotel sauna. In the evenings, guests can socialise and enjoy live music until late in the Orient Express bar. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can provide around the clock room service, exchange currency and offer concierge services, and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Motorists will find secure garage parking on site. The Chateau de Nice is 500 metres from the hotel and guests wishing to try their luck can head to Casino Ruhl, one kilometre away. Nice's main railway station is 300 metres from the hotel. Nice International Airport is seven kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.

SNCF national train services run to/from the airport every 30 minutes from Cannes Gare St Laurent du Var and every 45 minutes from Nice (Gare Nice Ville). Taxis are readily available and charge around 30 EUR to the city centre; taxi stands are located outside both terminals. Motorway tolls may be added to the fare. Regular public buses serve the area. A car is recommended for exploring further afield.
