The Best Western Hotel City is set in quiet, leafy gardens; two kilometres from Bologna's historic centre. The 92 guestrooms feature simple, functional decor with dark wood furniture, and blue bed covers and upholstery. All have air conditioning, cable television, tea and coffee making facilities and high speed Internet connections (surcharge).
Guests can take a stroll in the garden or sit down for a drink on the patio. There is also an indoor cocktail lounge and a library where guests can borrow books. Conference rooms are available for up to 40 persons and free parking is offered for those arriving by car. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can advise on local sightseeing opportunities and offer a safe deposit service. Piazza Maggiore, the main square, is two kilometres away. Here guests can sip on coffees and people watch from the many cafes, or visit the Two Towers, the Basilica of San Dominico or the University quarter. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is five kilometres from the hotel, a drive of around 10 minutes.

Taxis are readily available at the airport arrival terminal. There is also an ATC Aerobus service that connects to the city's main train station every 15 minutes. Bologna's city centre is compact and fully pedestrianised; therefore walking is the best means of exploring its main attractions. Hiring a bike from the main train station to visit the town is also a popular option. Bologna train station is 800 metres from the hotel.
From the airport, take the autostrada in the direction of Santa Lazzaro until you reach Tangenziale. From there, take Exit 6 towards the city centre; the hotel is one kilometre from the Piazza Maggiore, near Feria.
