Location. Housed in a modern structure with silver roofing and a black fa�ade, the Black Hotel is an elegant property located five kilometres from the Vatican City and 13 kilometres from the historic Coliseum. Rome Fiumicino Airport is 20 kilometres away, takes approximately 12 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features.Guests can start the day with an American breakfast overlooking the private gardens, and enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool with adjacent bar. The hotel also houses three conference rooms and its own informal bar, and offers guests use of a nearby fitness centre for a discount. Practical amenities include complimentary parking, dry cleaning facilities, a multilingual concierge service and a room service menu.
The Black Hotel houses the informal, Edon Restaurant with its contemporary decor, serving local and international dishes along with a selection of Italian wines.
Guestrooms. The 62 guestrooms, over three floors, feature contemporary decor with crisp, white linen and sleek wood furnishings. All include air conditioning, Internet connections (surcharge), satellite television with pay movies, direct dial phones, hair dryers, minibars, safes and desks. Bathrooms have bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. The Borghese Gallery, located 11 kilometres from the hotel, houses some of the world's finest Renaissance art including sculptures by Bernini, as well as paintings by Titian, Caravaggio and Raphael.

Getting there. Hotel staff can arrange airport transfers (surcharge) and taxis are available outside the terminal, costing approximately 50 EUR to the hotel. There is an express train service every 30 minutes from the airport to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs around 10 EUR. Rome's efficient integrated transportation system includes buses, trams, subway (Metro) and suburban trains. Tickets should be bought before boarding and are available from ATAC ticket machines and all tobacconists. A single ticket (BIT) costs 1 EUR, is valid for 75 minutes, and covers unlimited bus journeys and one metro trip. The historic city centre is easily negotiated on foot. Driving is not recommended for visitors.
