Location. The O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel is located in Annapolis, Md., one half mile from the Maryland State Capitol. St. John's College is one half mile from the hotel and the U.S. Naval Academy is one mile away. Other historical sites within one mile include the Hammond Harwood House, William Paca House and Garden, Banneker Douglas Museum and St. Anne's Church.
Hotel Features. The O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel features marble tiled flooring and custom made furniture imported directly from Europe. A complimentary hotel shuttle is available and a concierge desk provides information and complimentary high speed Internet access. A nearby health club is available at a discount and the hotel includes fitness equipment. The Commodore John Barry Restaurant serves local favorites and Irish inspired dishes for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers a business center and conference rooms, exhibit space, banquet facilities and meeting rooms.
Guestrooms. All 120 guest accommodations are decorated in jewel tones and dark wood. Furnishings are custom made and imported from Europe featuring leather easy chairs. Marble bathrooms include vanities and hammered metal framed mirrors. High speed Internet access is available and complimentary in room safes are laptop compatible. Room service is available from early morning until late evening. Some rooms feature balconies.
Expert Tip. The Historic Annapolis Foundation offers a walking tour featuring narration by Walter Cronkite. The tour begins on Main Street, one half mile from the hotel, and the hotel shuttle to Main Street is available by appointment. The tour's 18 stops include St. John's College, William Peca House and Garden and Shiplap House to end at the Maryland State House.
